This year most of the top celebs are trending for their legal battle in the court. The ex Hollywood couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are already trending for their defamation battle, now another defamation court trial is taking the famous Kardashians to the court.

So, What makes the Kardashians go to court?  And how is their battle in the court going? Let’s know the details of their court battle.

Kardashians in the Court

It is Blac Chyna who filed the defamation lawsuit against the Kardashians family. Yes, the ex of Rob Kardashian Blac Chyna who was in an on and off relationship from 2016 to 2017. The couple also has a daughter together, Dream Kardashian.

So now back to the Kardashians’ lawsuit, what exactly happened, and from where did the legal battle start? Let’s know about it.

Why is Blac Chyna Decided Upon Suing the Kardashians?

Blac Chyna’s defamation lawsuit against the Kardashians started with her split with Rob Kardashian. The couple already has been in many legal battles since their break up in 2017. And the present Kardashians’ lawsuits also have their origin in 2017.

When the couple started dating in 2016, Blac Chyna also started appearing in the Kardashians’ show Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK). And apart from the show she also has her own documentary show with her then partner Rob Kardashian called Rob and Chyna, that first aired in September 2016 on E! Network with seven episodes in the first season.

The first season shows the life of Rob and Chyna together as a couple and their welcoming of daughter Dream as a family and stepping into parenthood. At the end of the first season, the E! Network then announced its second season which was supposed to be aired in 2017 but was canceled, and at that time the couple also called their relationship off.

And this is where the problems began. Later that year, Chyna filed a defamation lawsuit against the Kardashians’ family namely Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner for defaming her by interfering with her Rob and Chyna reality series contract. She said that she had the contract for another second season with the E! Network but it got canceled because the Kardashians used their power to end the show and hence she is suing the family for $100 million.

But before Chyna’s Kardashians’ lawsuit, the Kardashians accused her of abusing Rob in December 2016. Then later in 2017, Rob accused Chyna of drugs, alcohol, and infidelity by sharing graphic and expletive content with her.

Kardashians in Court with Blac Chyna

At the beginning of April before the legal trial, Chyna tweeted and wrote,

“I’m taking them to court to stand up for my legal rights and to be an example to my kids that “what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong”. And what they did was so wrong.”

And she concluded,

“At the end of the trial, I’m going to be able to proudly tell King and Dream that I did everything I could to right the wrong that was done to me. And that, in life, it is my hope that they will be able to stand up for themselves when it matters too.”

The first court trial took place on 18 April, 2022 in Los Angeles, with the presence of defendants Kris, Kim, Khloe, and Kylie along with the plaintiff Blac Chyna.

Individuals from both the defendants and the plaintiff gave their testimonies in court.

Chyna gave her testimony in court about the accusation in 2016, of her pointing a gun at Rob. She said that she did it as a joke and the gun wasn’t loaded.

Then on the defendant’s side, Khloe testified that KUWTK was being affected by her brother and Chyna’s relationship and she said,

“We were all considering not being a part of such toxicity.”

Then Kris Jenner testified that the Kardashians didn’t have any power over canceling the show of Rob and Chyna. Then she also testified about the gun accusation,

“I was told that she put a gun on his head and she was drinking…I can’t imagine how that must feel to have a gun pointed at your head.”

Later Rob, who was missing from most of the court trial, gave his testimony on April 27. In his testimony, he said that he was very vulnerable with Chyna in their relationship. Then he added,

“I was probably at the worst place in my entire life, at my weakest, lowest point. She was the one who brought me in at my lowest point.”

In the recent trial, Kim Kardashian has cleared her name from the defamation lawsuits and is no more the defendant of the case. The Kardashian family attorney made a request for excluding Kim from the Kardashian’s lawsuits and the judge granted the request as there was no actual and specific evidence of Kim being the responsible party of the accused defamatory statement.

So it’s a  Kim Kardashian’s win as she is no longer part of the legal trial but the other Kardashians will be participating in the legal battle and we are yet to see the end of the Kardashians’ lawsuit.
