“I had a little slip,”

She said.

“But the fact is, like, when people say things about you that aren’t true, that hurts.”

A familiar name to many she has been in the public eye for decades now, the late 2021 news said Mayim Bialik and Mike Richards would be hosting Jeopardy. Jeopardy is an American television game show, and it has been a big thing for tv since 1964. Mayim Bialik is hosting this show currently.

Who is Mayim Bialik?

She is a neuroscientist and a well-known actor for her roles in famous shows such as Big Bang Theory and Blossom, or maybe you came across a post of her fostering philosophical ideas about veganism and child-mother relationships.

Why has Mayim Bialik been in such a Controversy since the Last Decade?

Personal views aren’t personal anymore, they are quite a public thing if you are a famous person anyways. Bialik has come across as an influencer for many in the last decade and her statements on gender, sexuality, health, and science are far from being acceptable to many.

“Jeopardy” and the Allegations

Once it’s on the web it stays! Nothing on social media is ever completely erasable. One might argue that it could be well forgotten with the outpouring of new content every second, but things resurface.

This is what exactly happened with Mayim Bialik, her outrageous comments from 2010 on SELF, started blowing up recently, it was almost worrisome to many, with a person with an influence like that misinformation is enough to stir chaos.

She has Come a Far Way from Just being Critical

Being critical is one thing but coming across as promiscuous for espousing toxic false views that might turn out dangerous, leave one no space for redemption.

Though in an interview with Glamour magazine when asked about her beliefs, the pseudoscience approaches, this is what she had to say:

“Given that you’re a neuroscientist, I felt like you were an authority and knew everything you were talking about, even though it took a lot of work and prep.”

Mayim Bialik — “No, I definitely don’t know everything. No, no. There’s a fine line because you don’t want to make it seem like you wish the contestants had known all the answers. You can’t come off arrogant. I’ll be honest, there are different standards for women in that role than men. You have to also be conscious of that.”

She has been Called out by Many for ‘Health, Science, and Medical conspiracies’

Some of the things that she has publicly promoted or known for influencing are the erroneous belief that hormonal contraception is dangerous. The sweetening pill documentary 2020 showcased Mayim Bialik discrediting the use of contraception pills.

She highlighted the various aspects that could lead to harm, she also commented upon anxiety, depression, and emotional ability of women, and the entire experience was compared to PMS which is an absolute normal phase much contradictory to the hormonal manipulation, which only added to more Mayim Bialik allegations.

Then there’s the incident of 2018, Bialik got a lot of hate for arguably supporting Harvey Weinstein. In an interview with New York Times, Mayim Bialik said that the reason she was successfully able to not be a victim of such predators was dressing modestly and not flirting with these men.

Bialik said that we all live in an imperfect world and there are no excuses when it comes to a matter like this, even though men shouldn’t be assaulting or abusing women, they can not afford to be naive.

These aren’t the only reasons for all the backlash Mayim got. after SONY TVs announcement of her being in Jeopardy even though as a second host; these were her views on attachment parenting

“We have empowered ourselves and refuse to endure a male-centered obstetric history that has taken women’s bodies and molded them to their preferences for their convenience, their comfort and for their world view,”

She wrote in a 2015 editorial with New York Times.

Mayim previously also wrote a book called Beyond the Sling 2012 which advocated many of her beliefs or false beliefs on parenting which were almost anti-feministic.

In a 2011 editorial for Today, she argued that there is no research that bedsharing shouldn’t be done and how bed-sharing is a smart way and is really safe too.

People and magazines haven’t backed her up on these at any moment. Mayim Bialik has used her education as a source for misinformation and has become a familiar voice that voices opinions loudly about topics that they clearly don’t know much about.

After all, there is always a Mayim Bialik conspiracy or Mayim Bialik allegation hashtag trending. Jeopardy has a huge audience and everyone is now definitely in for the show!

It had only been a few months and we all saw Mayim Bialik in the story for the script, or so she said for her comment on the death of late host Alex Trebek. Once again we saw Mayim justifying herself. She even said it was a ‘norm’.

She rather than taking a conclusive stand explained how it was a show with a whole crew and how she couldn’t have gone off-script. Her words were:

“If it wasn’t right, they would’ve had me redo it. I barely act alone… there are so many things that we re-tape”.

Mayim Bialik gummies have been on the news since the release; No, it is not another dig at something controversial. She has launched a line of CBD gummies that claim to have multiple health benefits.

The label on Mayim Bialik gummies advises you to ingest two gummies a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, do not take more than the prescribed amount, and keep hydrated. There aren’t any major reviews on the gummies, it is said to be effective after a few months of use.
